The answer is YES! We have a place for you, we want to get to know you and help you grow, and we value how God has uniquely gifted you. Check below for all the ways you can connect, grow, and serve at Cascade Fellowship.



CONNECT!

Cooking Club - Women meet to exchange prepared meals and recipes. Once every six weeks.

Knit Together - Women meet to knit and crochet. Third Tuesday of the month (7:00-9:00 PM).

Men's Basketball - Men play pickup basketball in the Family Life Center. Tuesday evenings (7:30 PM).

Scrapbooking - Women bring projects and supplies to scrapbook together. Mondays (7:00-10:00 PM).

Swimming - Women swim at the Forest Hills Aquatic Center, 660 Forest Hills Ave., and go for coffee afterwards. Wednesday mornings, except in the summer (8:30-10:30 AM).

XYZ (X-tra Years of Zeal) - Retirees meet weekly for breakfast at New Beginnings restaurant, 6209 28th Street. Friday mornings (8:30-9:30 AM). Other activities throughout the year.

YAMS (Young Adults) - Activities and small groups for post high school singles and couples.

Men and Women's Softball Teams - Summer leagues for ages 14 and up. A women's slow-pitch team and men's fast and slow-pitch teams play games at the Christian Reformed Recreation Center.

Discover Cascade - A class for those who are interested in learning more about Cascade Fellowship CRC. Twice a year on two consecutive Sunday mornings (9:00-10:15 AM).

Faith in Training Classes (F.I.T.) - A variety of adult classes to grow your faith. Sunday mornings (9:00-10:15 AM Sept.-May). Click here to see a list of class topics and schedule for Sept.-May 2007-2008.

Coffee Break / Story Hour / Little Lambs
An inter-denominational, community Bible study. Come with a friend! For women of all ages with programs for children aged 6 or less. Tuesday mornings, Sept.-April (9:30-11:00 AM). Click here for more information.

Women's Bible Study Unreasonable Discipleship: "Be Like Me" - An in-depth Bible study for womenwomen led by Candace Sorensen beginning Nov. 1. Thursday mornings (9:30-11:00 AM).

Senior Adult Bible Fellowship - Men and women meet in the Club Room at Raybrook Estates. First and third Wednesday of the month, Oct.-April (2:00-3:30 PM).

Men's Breakfast Bible Study - Men meet year round for breakfast, Bible study, and prayer. Tuesday mornings (7:00-8:00 AM) at the Spinnaker Restaurant, 4747 28th Street.

Cascade Station - Mid-week refueling for all ages Cascade Station logo

We invite you to join us on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month for a home-cooked meal followed by programs for the whole family. Supper is served for a minimal charge in the Family Life Center on the lower level (6:00 PM - 6:40 PM). After the meal, nursery and programs for children and youth through grade 8 are available as well as choir, classes and Bible studies for adults. See details of adult programs below. The dates for Cascade Station 2007-8 are: Sept. 12, 26, Oct. 10, 24, Nov. 14 (GEMS Italian Dinner), 28, Dec. 12, Jan. 9, 23, Feb. 13, 27 (Cadet Supper), March 12, 26, and April 16. All programs run from 6:45 to 8:15 PM.

Seismic Shifts - Study the six topics from the Seismic Shifts book led by Pastor James Karsten in a small group study every Wed. night for six weeks (Sept. 19, 26, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24). Contact: Pastor James Karsten by phone at 949-4342 or by e-mail.

Facing Today's Issues from a Christian Perspective - Men's evening Bible study group that meets in the Prayer Room. Second and fourth Wed. (6:45-8:15 p.m.). Contact: Paul Bouman (949-4342).

SERVE!

Welcome & Hospitality - Extend a warm welcome to those who attend worship services, events, and program activities.

Coffee Servers - Set up, serve, and clean up coffee before and after Sunday services.

Nursery - Care for infants and toddlers during worship services, Cascade Station family nights, Coffee Break, Parent's Night Out, and other special events. Requires Child Care Protection training.

Prayer Time - Pray for our church each Sunday (9:30 AM in the Prayer Room), or for all church ministries and staff every other Wednesday (1:00 PM in the Prayer Room).

Adult Choir - Sing in worship services. Rehearse every Wednesday evening, Sept.-May.

Praise Teams - Teams of youth and adults lead singing during worship services. Practice Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM (for the AM service) and Sunday at 5:00 PM (for the PM service).

Music, Drama, Decor & Audio-Visual - Enhance our worship services with your musical, dramatic, artistic, or technical gifts.

Kitchen and Catering Team - Prepare and serve food for a variety of events throughout the year.

Care Coordinator - Respond to individual and family needs of those in a fellowship group for a four-month period.

Parent's Night Out (PNO) Volunteers do games, crafts, and activities with children of families from our community, while their parents have a night out! Third Friday evening, September through April, 6:30-9:00 PM. Requires Child Care Protection training. Click here for more information.

Mobile Food Pantry - Partner with Second Harvest Gleaners Food Bank to distribute free perishable food to needy people. First Monday of the month in our parking lot (5:00-7:00 PM). Click here for more information.

The S.E.E.D. Company - Volunteers of all ages participate in short-term service projects in our community (June-August).

Operation Santa Claus - Prepare and deliver food and clothing for needy families in November and December.
